I damaged my canopy and asked RDL Design for help. They were quick to help me, removed my canopy and kept me informed on its progress. It is easy to communicate with them. The showroom is neat and professional, and in the three times I have been there, I always felt welcome. The quote for repairs on the hinges were reasonable!Thank you for an amazing canopy. Brilliant service from RLD design. The team was super helpful and friendly. The workmanship was top-tier and would highly recommend them.
I did two separate installs. First was the awning an and canopy. Then the rooftent and add-a-room and add-a-roof. No communication was given internally about what was done previously. Thus we ended up with the awning mounted to the load bars as supposed to the roof tent. This wouldn’t be a problem if the latches for the roof tent was behind the awning. Thus rendering me now unable to open my roof tent. The best part is the mounting bracket to mount the awning to the roof tent came neatly back to me still wrapped. And secondly when I open the side pannel of the canopy, they hit the load bars. Metal on metal. How dit you not account for this!!! This is awful service for such an expensive product. Most of the staff were also very unapproachable.
Absolutely happy with my Gen 3 canopy. The RLD team kept me informed on the progress during the manufacturing process. I would recommend RLD if you are on the lookout for a canopy.
Such a great business model. Everything done under one roof. From the initial order to the installation, I was kept up to date on each stage of the manufacturing process. The staff at RLD were really friendly on the day of install. So far the canopy looks amazing. Just received it yesterday, so now the testing begins. But what I have experienced so far, I'm sure I will be impressed!

When I ordered the Canopy Hunter, I was told the delivery time would be 4 weeks. Now we are entering the 7th week, and the excuse is that they made it for the wrong vehicle model. I have already paid for the product in full, and it took them 7 days to provide the invoice. They are not responding to my emails. It's very disappointing.

We visited RLD Canopies today to collect our new Ford Ranger canopy at RLD in George, and the service was absolutely outstanding.From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, including the fitment team.Dean was exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Their professionalism and warm demeanor made the experience truly enjoyable. Fitment time was under 30min. The quality of the canopy, latches etc. are excellent we are very happy with a great product.
Extremely happy with my Urban Traveller canopy, installed on my GWM P Series, by your installer in Durban. The canopy is precisely fitted and accurate and fits like a glove on my vehicle. It also looks insane. Definately recommend RLD. Bit of a wait, but they deserve the patience taken to create a product like this.
Be aware that there is zero after sale service support after you buy a canopy... from day one the windows leaked water, after reporting this and sending videos to RLD it's just been a struggle from here, nobody bothers to take responsibility or even gets back to you, you have to keep chasing them for answers and all they say is they waiting for feedback, feedback from where?? This is your own product you manufacture! Its been two months now and still no feedback or solution. Stay away from all the hassles...

RLD canopy looks fantastic on my Hilux Legend 45 but at the price I paid I was not expecting a canopy that leaks. After sending the images I was requested to drive to my fitment centre so that they can inspect? No idea why as from the pictures and video it is clear something is wrong. So hoping for feedback, I once again had to follow up for feedback. And the feedback was..........just take you Hilux that we can seal it with silicone???? Water will still seep into the rubber and then? Rot? And if I claim then it was my problem. So I requested a replacement rubber. Approval given but once again empty promises of giving me feedback as to when it will be delivered and when it can be fitted.....not happy with afterservice from RLD.
Nice Canopy....but please don not ask for a replacement bracket....it will cost you R2 500 because you must buy the whole set. Bad aftermarket service.

Recently bought the Gen3 canopy from RLD Design. A seamless process without any hiccups. Was kept up to date throughout the build. Had the canopy fitted by their agents, The 4x4 Store, in Cape Town and was most impressed by the skill and professionalism of the Cape Town team. Would have liked to have more information on how their load bars and roof racks are compatible with products from other manufacturers.

Just had my RLD Canopy installed today. From getting the quotation to installation, the process was efficient. Constant updates via SMS. Fitment was scheduled for 1 hour, but took +-30min so I am super impressed. Excellent staff (office & warehouse). Overall, it was a fantastic service. And the canopy looks amazing. Well done RLD. My vehicle, Ford Ranger Wildtrak, has just been fitted with a RLD Canopy, drawer system, roof rack, kitchen, ghost awning and camp table bracket inside the canopy. RLD was a pleasant experience from ordering through fitting. Lead time at approximately 6 weeks with an update weekly on progress with the manufacturing. The company has a very professional image and the service is spectacular.
